Dr. Charles A. Raele

Dr. Charles A. Raele serves as the Medical Director at Reprieve Recovery Center, overseeing all medical staff and collaborating closely with the clinical department to ensure the highest standards of care in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. With over fifteen years of extensive experience, Dr. Raele has worked with a diverse clientele presenting with both substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Dr. Raele is well-versed in the recovery model, strengths-based approach, dual-diagnosis treatment, community involvement, and effective psychopharmacological interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs. His psychiatric expertise allows him to personally assess and stabilize even the most complex cases at Reprieve Recovery Center.
Dr. Raele earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Barry University and his Doctor of Medicine from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery at Rush University Medical Center and his psychiatry residency at Duke University Hospital. His comprehensive training and vast experience make him an invaluable asset to Reprieve Recovery Center, where he is dedicated to providing exceptional care and fostering successful recovery outcomes.
