What Happens When You Ask for Addiction Help?
Making the call to an alcohol and drug rehab can feel overwhelming at first, but the relief is well worth it. The assessment and admission process is simple, private, and built around your needs. Don’t overthink it. Just call.
Here’s what to expect:
- Confidential Call: You’ll speak with a compassionate admissions specialist. They’ll listen without judgment and answer your questions about addiction treatment.
- Initial Screening: Share a bit about your history, current symptoms, and goals. This helps us understand what type of addiction care you need.
- Insurance Check: The admissions team will verify your benefits for you and let you know about any up-front charges, deductibles etc. (or you can arrange self-pay).
- Personalized Treatment Plan: Based on your needs, you’ll get a clear recommendation for detox and treatment. We arrange detox placement for you and plan it all, so you just follow the steps.
You Will Always Be Treated with Respect
Your health matters and your privacy matters.. Everything you share is kept confidential. Whether you’re ready to start or just gathering info, reaching out is a safe and smart first move.
Calling us, completing a screening or having your insurance checked has NO downside and does not obligate you to go to rehab here or anywhere else. You call the shots.
Types of Addiction Treatment Available
Here are the basics when it comes to substance abuse treatment options and levels of care
Inpatient Detox
Drug and alcohol detox helps you stop using or drinking safely with comfort medications and 24/7 medical monitoring. Reprieve Recovery works with the best medical detoxes in Florida and makes all the arrangements so you get the safe, comfortable detox you deserve.
Residential (Inpatient) Addiction Treatment
People who need 24-hour medical supervision even after the detox process may continue with residential rehab, where you stay in a medical facility around the clock (sleep overnight).
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
PHP addiction treatment is sometimes called “day treatment” because you get a full (6 hour) day of treatment, five times a week, similar to residential treatment, but you don’t have to sleep overnight. Instead most people live in residential sober housing during PHP.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
IOP treatment for addiction is a bit like “part-time” rehab. You go to group and individual therapy three days a week for 3-hour sessions (9 hours/week total). IOP care gives you solid recovery support while freeing up more time for other activities.
Outpatient Program (OP)
Outpatient treatment is the most basic level of care for substance use disorders. It usually consists of 1-hour sessions every week or every other week to help you stay on track.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
MAT can be a standalone treatment option, or part of a larger plan. MAT consists of medications, like buprenorphine (Suboxone), which help control cravings and other meds to support early recovery, along with counseling.

Taking Time Off Work: FMLA and Job Protection
Worried about losing your job while getting help? The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) can protect your job while you attend treatment. If you qualify, FMLA lets you take up to 12 weeks off for medical reasons, including addiction treatment, without losing your position or health benefits.
Facts about using FMLA to go to rehab:
- FMLA covers addiction as a medical condition
- You may qualify for up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave
- Your employer must keep your health insurance active during leave
- You must work for a covered employer and meet basic work history requirements
- You’ll need documentation from your treatment provider
- Your HR department can guide you through the process confidentially
FMLA can give you the time and space to focus on recovery without risking your job. If you’re unsure whether you qualify, our admissions team can help you understand your options. You can also visit the Department of Labor’s FMLA website.
